We're dealing with a heatwave here in Seattle, so I've been avoiding the outdoors during the day and sticking to the treadmill instead. But things had started to cool down near sunset, so I decided to venture out to North Seattle to the Ballard Locks (you know it's one of my favorite places!), and then just found myself wandering further and further.

Summer's officially here, and with that comes fond memories of long weekends spent at my uncle's cabin as a kid. He'd drive us around in his boats, and we'd sit by the fire and watch the sunset behind the lake every night. I feel like I get a little bit of that here every day now, and I love it.
