Whew! This one took a long time to make. I decided to use two songs, since I wanted to include a lot of scenes. "The Other Boleyn Girl" is based on the historical fiction novel by Philippa Gregory, which plays very fast and loose with the facts (much of the novel comes from the author's imagination) as does the film.

(SPOILERS if you haven't seen the film) Thomas Boleyn (Mark Rylance) wishes for his children to become part of the court and perhaps to have one of his daughters marry the King Henry VIII (Eric Bana). Thomas and his wife's brother, the Duke of Norfolk (David Morrissey), begin to plot to put Anne (Natalie Portman) in the king's company, but the scheme backfires and instead the newly wed Mary (Scarlett Johansson) is sent to find her way into the king's bed and a place at court. She succeeds, and finds herself pregnant. Henry is married to Katherie of Aragon (Ana Torrent, not shown in video) who only gave him a daughter and is unable to produce more children. Anne returns to court after spending time with the French royalty and sets out to steal Henry's affections from a bedridden Mary. The Boleyn's only son, the sensitive, gentle George (Jim Sturgess), becomes Lord Rochford but is unhappily trapped in a loveless marriage to Jane Parker (Juno Temple). His closeness to his sisters, particularly Anne incites his wife's jealousy. Mary gives birth to a son but the fickle Henry has already set his sights on Anne, who soon discovers that life with the monarch is very dangerous and difficult. Anne becomes queen and gives birth to Elizabeth I, but like her predecessor is unable to bear a son. Having broke from the Catholic church and formed the Church Of England, Henry loses interest in his wife and these leads to a turn of events that will have tragic consequences for the Boleyn family. Kristen Scott-Thomas plays Elizabeth Boleyn, who disapproves of her husband and brother's machinations and fears the consquences.

I have NO IDEA what caused those green and red lines to appear at the right edge of the screen, or why some clips seem to be clearer than others. My apologies and I hope you overlook the flaws.

I used "Greensleeves" (here performed by Rosalind McAllister), although it has been disputed as to whether Henry VIII wrote this song with Anne Boleyn in mind - it has been suspected that the song is actually Irish in origin. The other song is "Guinevere's Tears" by Enaid.
