STORYLINE:
Zimbabwe's main opposition leader returned home on Saturday, vowing that he would not be "bulldozed" into joining a lopsided government of national unity.
Morgan Tsvangirai flew into Harare after two months abroad.
He was due to hold talks with his Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) on whether the party should pull out of the power-sharing agreement which was reached last September but never implemented.
Despite the accord, President Robert Mugabe's party has grabbed nearly all the key ministries, appointed provincial leaders and reappointed the Central Bank governor blamed for the country's dizzying inflation, estimated at 231 (m) million percent.
Tsvangirai said he wouldn't be "bulldozed into an agreement which does not represent the aspirations of the people".
Tsvangirai won the first round of presidential elections last March but pulled out of the runoff vote because of violence against his supporters.
Under the power-sharing accord, he would be prime minister, with Mugabe as president.
His party faces a dilemma - if it pulls out of the government, Mugabe is likely to regain sole control; but it takes part, it will be a junior partner under the current allocation of Cabinet seats, which gives Mugabe's party control of nearly all the major ministries.
The MDC is holding out for the Home Affairs Ministry, saying this is the only way to rein in the police, which are accused of some of the worst violence and a recent wave of abductions of opposition supporters.
