Big shock to Mohan Babu University!
Andhra Pradesh Higher Education Regulatory & Monitoring Commission (APHERMC) has imposed a ₹15 lakh fine on the private university for collecting excess fees from students — a total of ₹26.17 crore between 2022 and 2024.

The commission ordered the university to refund the extra amount within 15 days and even recommended cancellation of its recognition due to repeated violations.

Mohan Babu University has now approached the High Court, which granted a temporary stay. The next hearing is scheduled for October 14.
