Hi, Matt of etrailer. Today, we're gonna be talking about the RaxGo Wall-Mounted Bike Rack, so, let's take a closer look at it. So, typically, when you see this rack, this is gonna be right next to each other, and that's how you're able to carry upwards to six bikes. Now, you can tell my space over here is pretty limited, so I'm gonna have to find another spot to mount this, and that's what I like about it. Let's say your garage is pretty tight. You got a lot of clutter in there.
You can only mount some of them here. What you can do is find another location to mount the rest of them, but that's just how I'm using it today. We'd love to hear or see how you're using it in either a picture or a comment. So the way this is gonna work is I can just come over here, easily remove my bike, and put it out the way. The way you're able to do that is 'cause we're gonna have these little J hooks on the side here.
And what I like about this is since this whole rack or bracket is gonna be a permanent installation, these J hooks are not. So I can just easily come over here, remove that, and then adjust it to put it somewhere else. And the reason why I'd wanna do that is 'cause the bikes we have today. You got this mountain bike that has these super long handlebars, and it's kind of getting in the way of my other bikes, so I can just space it out a little bit more, so I have a little bit more space to mount my bike. And focusing on those hooks a little bit more, they are gonna have this coating on them.
That coating is gonna allow for them to be just nicer to your bike, so they're gonna be less likely of scratching anything up. Now you do wanna make sure you have everything mounted correctly. You notice we have this deeper crevice right here. You wanna make sure that it's facing up. So when I remove that, this is how it should look and go on because if you install it this way, it's gonna have more support, making sure that it lasts longer and can properly hold onto the wall and your bikes.
Now, speaking of that, we can talk about what the weight capacity is gonna be. These are gonna be rated for 220 pounds for the total weight. So just be mindful when you are putting your bikes on here. If you have any extra heavy bikes on one end, make sure to throw some lighter bikes on the other side. So, overall, I think this is gonna be a solid choice if you have a lot of bikes that you need to store somewhere. Now, if you only have maybe one or two bikes, and you wanna save even more space in this, then I'd recommend checking out some of the Steadyrack's racks because they'll have some that have the capacity to fold over to the side. That's gonna save you a little bit more room. But again, if you only have a couple bikes, that's probably gonna be the way you wanna go. If you have six bikes, this here is probably gonna do a better job at keeping 'em all crowded together, and it's gonna be much more affordable too. Now, when it comes to the installation of this, it's really not too bad. Now, I do go a couple of tips and tricks to make sure you don't get this lifted off the ground too much. And if you're curious to see that, just stay tuned, we'll walk you through the process. So the first step of the installation is one that's not mandatory, it's something I like to do. Just make sure my bike sit a little bit closer to the ground, but aren't making contact. You can skip this step if you want to. I just think it makes it look a little bit nicer. So what we're gonna need is gonna be some masking tape, a pen or pencil, and a tape measure. Once you have that, what we're gonna do is grab our bike. I recommend grabbing the longest one that you have and putting that up against the wall where you're gonna mount it to. Once you've done that, then we'll come to the front of the bike and put down some tape. From here, what you can do is mark out with your pen and pencil where the tire is making contact with the ground. I recommend doing the furthest part away from the wall. And then from there, you can measure that out with a tape measure. I've already got my measurement, and this is gonna be sitting 63 inches away. So, now, I'm gonna take that measurement and put it on the wall. So, now, I have that measurement marked on the wall, and we already know that this is gonna be where the center of that tire is making contact with the ground to the very back end of it. But if we keep it like this, it's gonna be making cont
