Ducati 1098 Starting Issue Resolved with HICAP Copper Starter Kit by Motolectric

My 2007 Ducati 1098 was having starting (electrical) issues. The bike would stall when it got too hot during day-time city rides and never crank back up again. Even with a new battery, after some period of time (usually coupe of weeks), I wouldn't be able to start the bike at random times - leaving me stranded at the worst places and times.

The bike was sent to two different shops and they weren't able to figure out what the problem was; all they've done was to replace the battery and send it back. As far as they were concerned, the bike would start with a new battery.

My dear friend Patryk (a Ducati Expert) found the issue at first glance and recommended I'd install Motolectric HICAP copper cables.

Here is my video of the process. After the kit was installed, it only took half a crank for the engine to start.

I believe the OEM cables eventually degrade and become unable to carry sufficient current to starter motor and throughout the electrical harness.

I hope this video helps other Ducati owners out there.
