The official time for this run is 14 minutes, 54.6 seconds, the world record at that time.   / guggensulli   has since beaten this time --   / 343348236   .

I started learning Gauntlet on 5 Nov 2018 for Edgeworth20 event in AngryLarry's discord. On the 11th,   / khananaphone   challenged me to a race him to sub 15. Eight days later I beat   / guggensulli   's world record by 8 seconds with a time of 15:07.4. Guggensulli came back to the game to try for the sub 15.

Since the latest Gauntlet world record there have been new routing ideas. The night prior to this run, Guggensulli ran a new route that picks up Power Shot in Room 18. The Power Shot allows the player's projectiles to break down key doors, destroy pushblocks, and clear weak walls in a single shot. There are a lot of small saves, but the big one is shooting through a pile of pushblocks in Room 28 which also can set up a Death clip. This run did not succeed at that.

After Guggensulli's stream, I discovered another glitch, completely by accident, while trying to understand and practice his route. It's possible to overflow keys to 255 by walking a certain way through the inside angle an opening door, such as in Room 22. This is enough keys to plow through every door for the rest of the run, skipping numerous minor key grabs and careful stepping near doors. However, this run also failed to underflow keys, but at no cost in the attempt to do so.
