Mystic Spear (US) - Canticles of Apocalypse (Demo 2024)

Second demo release by this duo of maniacs, following last year's killer "Outer Darkness" debut.

Formed by Silas (Human Agony, Baphometic Dawn, Verme, etc) on drums and Clyle on strings and vocals, Mystic Spear deliver 16 minutes of scorching, old school, hammering Black Metal.

Two long and well written tracks of infernal bestiality. The penitents march amidst the scorching, hellish fires, ready to be sacrificed at the alter. Killer acidic and engaging riffage, accompanied by an onslaught of absolute barbarity in the drums, Mystic Spear release another killer release that should please adepts of Katharsis, some Judas Iscariot, or acts like Aeon Furnace and Ventr.
