Yesterday, Canada’s employment numbers revealed 1 million jobs were lost in March, the single largest loss of jobs in a month since records began in 1976. As the economic toll becomes real, and as cases continue rise, Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland encouraged Canadians to stay strong. ‘ Turn that very understandable, legitimate fear,’ she said, ‘into power and a conviction that we all need to do this hard thing to get the best possible outcome for Canadians.’
