This is from the film Midnight Cowboy, starring Jon Voight and Dustin Hoffman. The song is sung by Harry Nilson. This is the version that plays when Joe Buck (Voight) gets ready to leave the small town he's living in for New York. I hadn't seen this version on Youtube so I thought I would post it to see if anyone would like it like I do.

If you haven't seen this film, please do. It is very powerful and moving. It was also the only X-rated film to win a Best Picture Oscar. It was rated X due to its subject matter. The film is tame by today's standards (it was rerated R later on) but is still pretty powerful and worth seeing at least once.
