Dr. David Chester is a research scientist and consultant specializing in theoretical physics. In undergrad at MIT, he studied quantum field theory and general relativity, which sparked his passion to pursue quantum gravity and unification. His PHD thesis at UCLA explored QCD scattering amplitudes and their relationship to gravitational radiation. This work extends theoretical techniques used in the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) to have applications for the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory (LIGO), bridging two of the largest experimental physics projects. While not a string theorist by training, David has coauthored work that finds a middle ground between Garrett Lisi's E8 unification theory and string theory by exploring extra-dimensional geometry. David is primarily interested in gravity, particle physics, electrodynamics, thermodynamics, and recently has captivated the UFO and alternative propulsion community. David has been an entrepreneur and dabbles with data science and artificial intelligence (AI).
