How To Sound Design Retro Game Sound Effects (using Vital)

In this sound design tutorial I'll show you a technique to sound design retro game sound effects (think of various Super Mario sound effects).

The beautiful thing about these sound effects is that they need very little processing (if any at all) and are mainly dependent on a clever choice of notes.

I'm using the free soft synth Vital but this can easily be replicated with other synthesizers as well.
