Pakistan: Kalash day with the Girls and a wander around the village

Another day in Kalash, mainly spent with the women, and learned a lot more about the culture, although this day was mainly just getting the local woman and getting to know them.Everybody knows everybody, or is relate to someone.There are only about 3,800 of this Kalash tribe left today, so it seems they like to have big families. although family planning is available to these women if the want it. Quite a few women here are well educate as you can see, but it seems to be only if a family member can get the funds to pay fro their college education, which is usually done in Chitral or Peshawar .This seems like the happiest community I've come across anywhere in my travels so far... the worst insult a man will say to another into call hi a "son of a Donkey" lol. Everyone helps everyone out, if someone hasn't any work then others will help them with food etc, as they all grow there own food anyway . Women are very highly respected here also .
all in all a really good day wandering around with dearest Roweena , her sister Sia was in the " menses house" this day ...
also as I said in the video the little girls have their hair cut short all over except one braid on the front until they are !0.. just another kalash tradition that I want to find out more about and will when I go back in a week..to stay for a week or longer... I hope this id a bit interesting for you as it was to me! as I had no idea about this Tribe until recently
