►► উম্মাহর সর্বশ্রেষ্ঠ ব্যাক্তিগন কর্তৃক সম্পূর্ণ নবুয়তের আদলে প্রতিষ্ঠিত মুসলিমদের প্রথম সম্রাজ্য এটি যা বিশ্ব ইতিহাসে ইনসাফ আদলের সর্বোৎকৃষ্ট উদাহরণ সৃষ্টি করেছিলো। এটি ছিল সম্পূর্ণরূপে একটি শুরা নির্ভর খেলাফত ব্যবস্থা। যুগে যুগে রাষ্ট্র বিজ্ঞানীরা যত তন্ত্র মন্ত্রের উদ্ভাবন ঘটিয়ে থাকুন না কেন, মানবতার কল্যাণে যে অপরূপ দৃষ্টান্ত স্থাপন করেছিলো নবুয়তী ধারার এ রাষ্ট্রব্যবস্থা, বিশ্ব ইতিহাসে তার তুলনা মেলা ভার।
রাসুল (সাঃ) এর তিরোধানের পর একে একে হযরত আবু বকর, উমর, উসমান, আলী (রিদঃ) খেলাফতে অধিষ্ঠিত হন যাদের প্রত্যেকেই ছিলেন জান্নাতের সুসংবাদপ্রাপ্ত ১০ জন মহান সাহাবীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত। জান্নাতের যুবকদের সর্দার রাসুলের অতি আদরের দৌহিদ্র ইমাম হাসান ইবনে আলি (রা.)-কেও খুলাফায়ে রাশেদার মধ্যে গণ্য করা হয়ে থাকে।
রাসুলের এ ঘনিষ্ঠ সহচরবৃন্দ পরম যত্নে ও মমতায় বিন্যস্ত ও বিকশিত করেছিলেন নবগঠিত এ ইসলামী সম্রাজ্যকে। তাদেরই নেতৃত্বে ইসলামী সেনাবাহিনী মাত্র ৩০ বছরেই আরব উপদ্বীপের সীমানা ছাড়িয়ে কালিমার ঝাণ্ডা উড়িয়েছিল রোম ও পারস্য সম্রাজ্যের বিশাল অঞ্চল জুড়ে। সর্বোচ্চ সীমায় এ সম্রাজ্য সমগ্র আরব উপদ্বীপ, লেভান্ট থেকে উত্তর ককেসাস, পশ্চিমে মিসর থেকে বর্তমান তিউনিসিয়া ও পূর্বে ইরানীয় মালভূমি থেকে মধ্য এশিয়া পর্যন্ত বিস্তৃত ছিল। এ সময় ইসলামের নির্ভীক মুজাহিদ ও দায়িদের প্রচেষ্টায় দলে দলে মানুষ ইসলামের সুশীতল ছায়াতলে আশ্রয় গ্রহণ করেছিলো।

►► This documentary will discuss the history of The Rashidun Caliphate (Arabic: اَلْخِلَافَةُ ٱلرَّاشِدَةُ‎; 632–661) which was the first of the four major caliphates established after the death of Prophet Muhammad. It was ruled by the first four successive caliphs (successors) of prophet Muhammad after his death in 632 CE (AH 11). These caliphs are collectively known as the Rashidun, or "Rightly Guided" caliphs (اَلْخُلَفَاءُ ٱلرَّاشِدُونَ al-Khulafā’ur-Rāshidūn).
The Rashidun Caliphate is characterized by a twenty-five year period of rapid military expansion, followed by a five-year period of internal strife. The Rashidun Army at its peak numbered more than 100,000 men. By the 650s, the caliphate in addition to the Arabian Peninsula had subjugated the Levant, to the Transcaucasus in the north; North Africa from Egypt to present-day Tunisia in the west; and the Iranian plateau to parts of Central Asia and South Asia in the east.
