Lets get right to it, many people who monitor their BP at home will turn the monitor on, measure their pressure once and put the machine away until next time. But many of you already know, one bp reading is not enough and the American College of Cardiology recommends 2 to 3 readings. The first reading is typically higher than the second or third one because many times it’s not a true resprensentattion of your actual BP. So one may think to discard the first one and just use the other two. But the answer is the first reading shouldn’t be discarded, if you prepare for it and follow all the appropriate steps, the 1st measurement is beneficial for you to use. I’m going to explain to you in just a minute how you can lower it, so it’s more accurate like the second and third one. The blood pressure guidelines, which I link to down below, recommends at least 2 or more measurements but never say to discard any of them. They recommend this for both medical staff...
