THIS Ziplock Bag Hack: A Backpacker's Dream? (Tried and Tested!)

Can the infamous ziplock bag be made better?! In this video I test a major hack for making your own any-size ziplock bag... but does it work?
If there was a way to save some backpacking weight, reduce my plastic waste, and save me some pennies then I'm all for it! And that's why I HAD to test out this trick for ziplock bags to see if its the newest Backpacking Hack!

I definitely think I could have done a few things differently. In the end, using an actual torch may have helped get the hanger hotter which may have made it work better. Also, as I went along I definitely got better, so it takes some practice! I've made a few more since making this video and have definitely found it to be more successful, but its still not 100%.

**UPDATE: After filming this video I continued to practice this technique and got better and better at it. I was able to make quite a few water-tight ziplock bags, but could only do it consistently with the freezer bags.
