Hi, I'm Charles, and I'm here to show you how easy it is to set up a Topfin Aquarium. This particular kit includes the following products, all designed to help keep your fish happy and healthy. So let's get started. First, place the tank on a sturdy level surface near an outlet. Then using plain tap water, thoroughly rinse the aquarium and all its components. Next, add gravel and a few decorative items because your fish will need to cool and plants to rest on, play with, and hide in. To assemble the Topfin SilentStream Filter, hang on the tank, then pop in the filter cartridge, extending the water tube down toward the gravel. Then clip the submersible heater into the provided suction cups and attach the unit to the side of the tank. And be sure to leave everything unplugged while the tank is dry. Next fill the tank with room temperature water. And don't forget to add water to the filter housing. A power filter requires priming to function properly. At this stage, you'll also want to add Topfin Aquarium water conditioner. Plug in the power cords, leaving enough slack to create a drip loop for each cord to avoid a shock hazard. Most Topfin filters will turn on automatically when plugged in. Finally, make sure the lid is seated correctly. You'll need to switch on the lights. Be sure to follow the product directions and talk to an associate to learn the proper method for acclimating your new aquatic pets. You'll also want to add Topfin's ReadyStart Nitrifying Bacteria Starter to speed up the cycling process. Your vet friends will love you for it.
