Havasupai Backpacking Trip - Havasu Falls, Mooney Falls, Beaver Falls

Описание к видео Havasupai Backpacking Trip - Havasu Falls, Mooney Falls, Beaver Falls

This trip was definitely more of an experience than a vacation, but I loved it so much! We stayed the night in Kingman, AZ the night before we came down here. We woke up around 2:00 am to begin the drive and, after nearly getting airborne over a cattle grate or two in the road, we arrived at our destination and began hiking at 5:00 am. I didn't get video footage of the hike down because I didn't want to be distracted by the GoPro and make us go slower because it was going to be HOT. We made it to town around 8:45 and to our camp site around 9:30. We set up shop, then went to the falls. That is where the video begins. After getting some splashing around in Havasu Falls, the next day we went hiking down to Mooney and Beaver Falls. The hike down to Mooney was legit scary. I had read about it being a little sketchy, but I didn't realize how high the sketchiness began. I didn't get any video of that either, outside of the cave portion leading to the real descent. Once I had my feet on the ground, I could appreciate the beauty of it. Mooney was probably the prettiest of the falls and we had a great time jumping in from different sections of the pool it created. Beaver Falls was also a real highlight. We were 2 of 4 people there and basically had free reign to swim, lounge, and snack without a ton of interference. All three of the falls were memorable. But, the campsite was, too. We had our own swimming hole to ourselves. We used it to rinse off and cool off from the rest of the trip. I also used the little stump as my chair most of the trip. If the opportunity comes up for you, I would 100% recommend it, especially if you're into backpacking.
