How To Pull Conductor with a PLW-200H

This whiteboard illustration video provides an overview about the basics of installing distribution conductor using a four drum rope rig, like the Sherman+Reilly PLW-200H. Selecting which line stringing equipment to use is a straightforward process if you follow basic tenants of safe conductor pulling. You need to answer several questions, like: What type of conductor pulling job is it, transmission or distribution? What type and size of conductor are being installed? What is the diameter and weight per foot of the conductor. These are factors used when sizing blocks and tension requirements. Several factors come into play when determining the correct size puller and tensioner required for the project. For this illustration, we are using the PLW-200H.
