Darkstalkers 3 [PS1] - play as Pyron

Pyron is the final boss in Vampire Hunter 2 mode in this game. He is a regular playable character.

---- As mentioned earlier, he is the final boss for all characters in Vampire Hunter 2 mode.

---- His last boss in Vampire Savior mode is Jedah.

---- His mid-boss in Vampire Savior mode is Donovan.

---- His mid-boss in Vampire Savior 2 mode is Huitzil.

---- His mid-boss in Vampire Hunter 2 mode is Donovan.

---- His last boss in Vampire Hunter 2 mode is himself (obviously).

---- He is one of only three previously non-playable characters in the Darkstalkers series.

---- The game is known as Vampire Savior EX Edition in Japan.

===== About Pyron =====
As the original last boss of the Darkstalkers franchise, Pyron makes a decent antagonist. Basically an alien being who goes around destroying and consuming entire planets and it's lifeforms. There is a sense of "honour" about him as he respects worthy opponents.

Gameplay-wise, he plays a lot like a 'normal human fighter', as he uses a lot of 'human-style' punches and kicks. His Cosmic Disruption EX move is pretty useless in this game, and is the reason why Capcom gave him the Piled Hell EX move in his D.F. Power mode. He also inflicts very low energy depletion in this game, and is one of his major weaknesses.

===== About PS1 Darkstalkers 3 =====
Due to the PS1's hardware limitations, a LOT of character animation frames had to be cut... if you're used to the Arcade/Saturn versions of the game, you'll definitely notice it. The game features all the characters from the Darkstalkers series. So yes, Phobos, Pyron and Donovan are in.

However despite the animation cuts, the PS1 version of Darkstalkers 3 is actually quite special, as it is basically a 'collection' of Vampire Savior, Vampire Savior 2 and Vampire Hunter 2 all rolled into one single game. If you unlock the Ex Options, you can get to select the system mode of the above three games... so for example if you select Vampire Hunter 2, you'll get the VH2 BGMS, endings and system (such as Pyron replacing Jedah as the game's main boss). It's good stuff and it's a good port of the arcade game.
