Hit and Run Fatality 8-2-18

Sheriff Grady Judd is briefing the media about a hit-and-run fatality that occurred in north Lakeland this morning, during which a woman was killed and a Good Samaritan who was helping her was injured.

"All of us have a fundamental moral responsibility to stop when involved in a crash. It's just basic human decency--and it's the law. Our prayers are with the family of the deceased victim. We are seeking witnesses to these crashes. Anyone with any information about the first or second hit-and-run vehicle are asked to contact the Polk County Sheriff's Office at 863-298-6200.
