Out-of-the-box, Kubernetes provides only bare-bones support for authentication. Fortunately, open source projects like Dex can help organizations manage Kubernetes authentication and authorization, at scale, providing single sign-on (SSO) functionality for your DevOps teams.

Join Martin Nirtl, Solutions Architect for Mirantis, as he explains the fundamentals of Kubernetes authentication, why vanilla Kubernetes does not offer high enough levels of security in its native authentication flow, and demonstrates how to configure Dex for Kubernetes SSO. Martin will be looking at JSON in a generic terminal, as well as some of the open source documentation from Dex to configure everything correctly. You can find the Dex documentation linked below.
