“President Chan, we’ve confirmed it. Madam bought a Porsche for an intern named Calvin. It cost 2.3 million and was paid from the company account.”
I stared at that glaring photo and dialed Daniella’s number. My voice was calm.
“Nice car. Where’s mine?”
On the other end of the line, Daniella’s tone carried the familiar, condescending impatience.
“You’re a grown man—can you stop being so materialistic? As long as a car can drive, that’s enough. Don’t keep comparing yourself to others!”
