On belly-dancing and taboos | Moe Khansa | TEDxLAU

Описание к видео On belly-dancing and taboos | Moe Khansa | TEDxLAU

This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. What is the first word to come to mind when you hear the term "Belly-dancing"? Moe Khansa seeks to redefine the way we see this art-form, in the hope of eliminating these stereotypes and embracing belly-dancing as a beautiful part of our culture.

Moe Khansa is a Communication Arts student at LAU. Actor, Performer, Singer, and Dancer, he does it all, as long as he can express himself through art. Despite knowledge of contemporary dance of all kinds, he holds on to belly-dancing as a means of celebrating his culture.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
