Manoj Verma Replaces Vineet Goyal As Police Commissioner Of Kolkata

After Mamata Banerjee was forced to sack Vineet Goyal after meeting with the doctors on Monday, IPS Manoj Verma has been appointed as the new Commissioner of Kolkata Police.

Vineet Goyal, who came under severe criticism for the lapses in the investigation of the RG Kar doctor death case, has now been transferred by Mamata administration as the ADGP of the STF.
