Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell sustained a significant left knee injury during a 30-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter against the Kansas City Chiefs on December 21, 2024. After securing the pass from quarterback C.J. Stroud, Dell collided with teammate Jared Wayne and Chiefs cornerback Trent McDuffie, leading to the injury. He was immediately attended to by medical personnel, had his leg immobilized in a brace, and was carted off the field. Dell was transported to the University of Kansas Medical Center, a Level I trauma center, for further evaluation. Reports indicate that he suffered a dislocated kneecap and is undergoing examinations for additional injuries. This incident marks Dell's second consecutive season with a significant injury, following a fractured fibula in his rookie year in 2023. Prior to the injury, Dell had recorded six catches for 98 yards and a touchdown in the game.
