I do love a good paradox. King James II, a king who grew up fighting for his kingdom’s enemies. The head of a religion he didn’t believe in. A husband who fought tooth and nail for his wife while openly sleeping around, and a tyrant whose people hated him… because he wasn’t oppressing them hard enough.
