Memphitz Files Lawsuit Against VH1 and Love and Hip Hop Atlanta

Ever since the first episode of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, K. Michelle made claims that music executive Mickey Wright aka MeMpHiTz has physically abused her. Now MeMpHiTz filed a major lawsuit against VH1 and the creator of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, Mona Scott-Young. MeMpHiTz is currently married to Toya, ex-wife of Lil Wayne.
K. Michelle and MeMpHiTz dated in the past. She was also signed to MeMpHiTz's Hitz Committee record label. K. Michelle claimed that MeMpHiTz beat her, supposedly leaving scars on her body. To this day, MeMpHiTz denies these claims and has officially taken legal action. He's what he had to say:

"My family and I have suffered tremendously while VH-1, Monami Ent., and other companies provided a worldwide platform for K. Michelle to repeatedly assassinate my character. The filing of this suit is to compensate for the irreparable damage that has been done to my reputation and to deter these companies form doing such future harm to others."

Wright is suing the named Defendants for approximately one dollar per viewer per show for damages that stem from the defamatory statements and actions of cast member Kimberly Michelle Pate aka K. Michelle.

Wright's attorney stated that, "Ms. Pate has taken full advantage of society's tendency to accept claims of domestic violence as always being true, even in the absence of proof."

Wright maintains that this suit is not about revenge but is instead defending himself about his professional reputation from the false and misleading statements made about him on the VH1 reality show Love & Hip Hop Atlanta.
