Centuries ago, in the middle of war and uncertainty, the Church turned to the Precious Blood for peace. Pope Pius IX officially instituted this devotion in 1849, placing trust in the mercy flowing from Christ’s sacrifice.

Even though the feast is no longer on the universal liturgical calendar, the entire month of July remains a time to draw near to His mercy, reflect on the mystery of our redemption, and open our hearts to healing.
