Let's say you have a column with:
Value1
Value2
Value3
Value4
How can you combine it into a single string which says "Value1, Value2, Value3, Value4"?
In the previous version, we looked at the new STRING_AGG function to do this. In this video, we'll look at ways which will work in most versions of SQL Server. We'll look at COALESCE and XML PATH to do this.
However, it is more difficult if you want to reduce duplicates first. We'll have a look at this problem as well in this video.
