► The video made from the "Graphic Novel" book that was included in the 1993 “Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers” game box and you can access at the main menu of 2014 “Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers 20th Anniversary Edition” and provides a prequel to the events.

► The Graphic Novel written by Jane Jensen, the Art Director was Nathan Gams and Illustrated by Terese Nielsen.

► The comic contains backstory that is touched lightly in the game's story, being set around the time of the enslavements of Africans in America. It expands the story behind "Sins of the Father" by looking at what exactly that "sin" was. Set in 1693, the story follows a witch-hunter during the witch trials, as he is tasked with discovering who has committed several violent sacrifices. During his investigation, he runs into a slave that might have a connection to what he is looking for.

► The Graphic Novel is a short prequel to the video game that came with it and the story starts with the village elders of Charleston standing around the sixth victim of a series of brutal murders. Then, at 1693, a German man by the name of Gunther Ritter arrives at the scene of a brutal ritualistic murders to offer his services to the frightened town elders – including one Mayor Crodwell. Gunther is a Schattenjäger (or Shadow Hunter) whose sacred duty is to hunt down evil-doers of supernatural origins…
