2024-08-01 Kayaking Main Salmon ID 81 miles

Myself & 3 kayak buddies were lucky enough to join 15 awesome rafters & 2 doggies I had never met, on a 7 day, 81 mile trip across Main Salmon River Idaho. It is the most remote area of the U.S. Lower 48, named "The River of No Return". The round trip shuttle alone would be 20 hours, but we mailed some unknown dude $6,000 & our keys to shuttle 9 cars which miraculously ended up at our takeout a week later. The rapids were a bit low, but perfect level since new to me & and the first time paddling a fully loaded kayak. I packed almost all of my gear to test in case I ever do a self support trip. (Except the beer which they insisted to haul for me).
