On this day in 1994, ‪@thetemptationsofficial‬ received their ‪@HwdWalkofFame‬ star ⭐ 30 years ago!

September 14th is a very special day in Temptations history. The Temptations was awarded to have their very own Hollywood walk of fame star 30 years ago back in '94.

Co-founders Otis Williams and Melvin Franklin, along with current members Ali-Ollie Woodson and Theo Peoples, were on hands at the ceremony at 7060 Hollywood Blvd in Hollywood, where their stars were placed. In honor of founders the late Paul Williams, Eddie Kendricks, along with David Ruffin were also honored, posthumous. Many of their friends from Motown, including families of the group were in the audience. ‪@SmokeyRobinsonOfficial‬, "sixth Temptation" Cornelius Grant, ‪@MRDAVIDRUFFINJR‬, the late Norman Whitfield and Cholly Atkins, Melvin's family, Otis' wife at the time and his stepdaughter Elan Carter and many fans were all in attendance. Ron Tyson did not attend the ceremony because he was ill at the time.

The only person that didn't get mentioned, nor was honored a star as a member of the Temptations was Dennis Edwards. Sometime next week, I'll plan to talk about the controversy behind that on why Edwards was snubbed from the ceremony despite the hits and Grammy awards he did with the Tempts.
