Описание к видео Самое красивое озеро Швейцарии, Блаузее (Голубое озеро). За ним скрывается трагическая история любви

Blausee, or the "Blue Lake," is indeed one of Switzerland’s most iconic natural gems. While its name is simple, the story behind its mesmerizing turquoise water is deeply melancholic.

As it is currently January 2026, the lake is surrounded by snow-covered fir trees, making the contrast between the white landscape and the crystal-clear blue water even more striking.

🖤 The Legend of the Blue Eyes
The local legend tells of a beautiful young maiden who lived in the Kander Valley centuries ago. She fell deeply in love with a young shepherd, and the two of them would often spend their moonlit evenings together at the shores of this small alpine lake. They even built a small raft to row out to the center, dreaming of their future.

Tragedy struck when the shepherd was killed in an accident while gathering hay on a steep mountain cliff.

The Transformation

Heartbroken and unable to cope with the loss, the maiden returned to the lake every night to mourn. She would row her raft to the spot where they once sat together and weep for her lost love. Her grief was so profound that she eventually lost her mind and, one morning, was found drowned at the bottom of the lake alongside her sunken raft.

Legend says that on that very day, the lake—which had previously looked like any other mountain lake—transformed into a deep, radiant blue. The locals believed the water had changed to the exact color of the maiden’s blue eyes, fueled by the tears of her eternal love.

🗿 The Sunken Statue
To this day, you can still "see" the maiden. In 1998, the artist Raphael Fuchs created a life-sized bronze sculpture of the mourning woman and placed it at the bottom of the lake.

Because the water is exceptionally clear (you can see down to the bottom at 12 meters deep), the statue is clearly visible from the bridge. She sits there, gazing up through the water, serving as a permanent tribute to the story of "eternal love."

🚂 How to Visit Blausee by Train (Winter 2026)
Since you are interested in winter train journeys, Blausee is a perfect "side trip" from the main scenic lines. It is located in the Bernese Oberland, between Spiez and Kandersteg.

The Route: Take the Lötschberger regional train (the green train) from either Bern or Thun toward Kandersteg/Brig.

The Stop: Get off at Frutigen or Kandersteg.

The Final Leg: From either station, take the No. 230 Bus (the "Blausee-Bus"). It drops you right at the entrance of the nature park.

Winter Benefit: In January, the crowds are much thinner than in summer. You can enjoy the park’s organic trout farm, or even go winter diving (if you are a certified diver) to see the statue up close under the ice-cold water.
