Knives that are prohibited in Canada (for no good reason)

The videos talks about the following types of knives which are illegal in Canada, and why these prohibitions make little sense:

- Automatic knives / switchblades
- Centrifugal knives (e.g. flick knives, balisongs)
- Gravity knives (e.g. a certain paratrooper knife)
- Finger rings with blades
- Push daggers
- Blades concealed in everyday items with a length of less than 30 cm
- Knives with brass knuckles / knuckle duster handle (e.g. trench knife)

A practical examination of these types of knives quickly shows that they pose no more threat than a kitchen knife. Regular folders and assisted opening knives with torsion bar open just as quickly as a switchblade and are even faster than a balisong (butterfly knife). A fixed blade doesn't even have to be opened at all and is still easily concealable.
