I picked the Dumont TH to the Hill City 1880 train Depot for a couple of reasons.
1: 74% of this section is downhill, about 1.5% grade.
2: I could be dropped off and finish riding in Hill City where I was staying.

This was a fun 33-mile ride for me that I was able for finish despite the food poisoning I got from a free hotel breakfast in Montana the day before. The food poisoning got worse after the ride and lasted about 5 days.
This ride is really popular with class 1 e-bikes.
All the rest stops / trailheads had water, tools, tire pumps and toilets.
Trail passes are $4 per day or $15 per year.
