Dustin Grabowski qualified 2nd in Spec Trophy Truck (T2 Class) at the 2022 King of the Hammers Prologue on Sunday morning. (January 30, 2022). On Sunday afternoon he started next to a trophy truck and got beat of the line. He was battling with several trophy trucks and their dust throughout the first two laps. He still managed to put himself 1st in class on time after lap 1. He fell back about a minute on time on lap 2, but knew all he had to do was get in the leaders dust on lap 3 in order to take the win based on time. Unfortunately, as he began lap 3, he had lost power steering. This caused the truck to veer off where it wanted to and he ended up getting a flat. The wheel was stuck on the hub and it took his navigator Cody longer than he would have liked to change the flat. In the end they took home 2nd in T2 class for the 2022 Toyo Desert Challenge (2022 King of the Hammers).
