Simulation of temperature distribution in water-cooled induction heating coil - Comsol Multiphysics

Описание к видео Simulation of temperature distribution in water-cooled induction heating coil - Comsol Multiphysics

This model shows how an induction heating coil can be kept cold by making water flow through it. The coil is supplied with a continuous sinusoidal current input and it heats up due to Joule heating (resistive heating). The steady-state temperature distribution of the coil is obtained. Preventing the coil from heating up is important for safety. The simulation uses 3 physics interfaces (magnetic fields, laminar flow, heat transfer). The tutorial also shows how a solution from one study can be used in another separate study using the "withsol" operator.
