Celebrating its 27th season, the San Francisco-based Robert Moses’ KIN is known for eclectic movement, demanding choreography, ferocious dancing, and provocative themes. The Company brings the East Coast premiere of The Soft Solace of a Slightly Descended Lost Life (Suck It), an immersive performance focused on the fractured heritage, risk, and theft of solace and safety from everyday life. Multidisciplinary and poetically transcribed through dance, spoken word, suspended sculptural installation, and projection design, Soft Solace features the diverse dancers of Robert Moses’ KIN, choreography, storytelling and sound design by Moses, with collaborators Eugene Korsunskiy (sculpture), Ian Winters (projections), PC Muñoz (voice), G. Chris Griffin (lighting), and Jamielyn Duggan (costumes).

Experience some of the best dance across the country with The Joyce Theater's sixth annual American Dance Platform, dedicated to the memory of Theodore S. Bartwink of The Harkness Foundation for Dance. Theodore S. Bartwink was a Joyce Theater Foundation Trustee from 1993 to 2014.

Curated by Renae Williams Niles, the Chief Content and Engagement Officer at the Los Angeles Philharmonic, this year’s American Dance Platform program features performances by Cleo Parker Robinson Dance, Collage Dance Collective, Robert Moses’ KIN, COMPLEXIONS Contemporary Ballet, The TL Collective, and DIAVOLO.
