Drum Set Snare Drums Part 1- Introduction-

Here is a series of Three lengthy videos demonstrating different types of drum set snare drums that I use for gigging, studio work and teaching.
There are 35 metal and wood snare drums represented in these videos so it should give you a good basis on what to look for when purchasing a used or new drum. I list the drums in the videos as well as in the video description.
This video, Part 1, is an introduction where I talk about the characteristics of a good snare drum. Part 2 describes the wood drums that I use and Part 3 describes the metal drums that I use.
I describe each drum, play a little on it, show you any trouble areas (build quality, strainer issues,etc.) and compare it to similar size instruments.
