New Bike Day - A Pivot Shuttle SL??

Описание к видео New Bike Day - A Pivot Shuttle SL??

New Bike Day is always an exciting day! This time, I opted to go with the dark side and went with a new E-bike. Enter the Pivot Shuttle SL! I've been researching ebikes for quite some time and considering whether or not to get one. Being a heart attack survivor, I'm always concerned with heart strain. My cardiologist likes me to keep my heart rate down somewhat low and we've discussed it at length. On my regular analog bike, I typically run between 140 to 160bpm when I'm riding at a fairly decent clip. With the Shuttle, I can ride at the same speeds and keep my heart rate down around 125bpm which is kind of crazy. I've been still riding my analog bikes on days when I'm going to take on high strain and use the Shuttle when I want an easier day. It's worked really well so far.

The Pivot Shuttle SL is an awesome bike. This is the Pivot Shuttle SL XTR Team Edition which retails at $12,999. A crazy price, and I would have never got one except for the bike shop was having a one day sale at 30% off. The sale price was still more than I wanted to pay but, it was definitely a great deal and not much more than the one I was looking at. The bike handles really well in all conditions. I'm not a super aggressive rider with a lot of hang time so it's ideal for what I'm doing. It handles downhill and uphill chunk with no problem. I don't really mind climbing but this thing sure does take the suck out of it! You can look up all of the specs if you want to but, they all use the same motor and frame. The prices changed based on components. The Team XTR comes with all Shimano XTR components and they deliver. Overkill in my opinion but the components definitely deliver. My bike weighs in about 39 pounds with the pedals on which is only a few pounds heavier than my Reeb Sqweeb.

Overall, I would highly recommend the Shuttle SL but, do you own reasearch, look at some YouTube reviews (Jeff Kendall-Weed, The Loam Wolf, and others) and decided if it's right for you. I bought it without test riding it but I set up all my bikes with almost the same reach and stack, depending upon its use. I would also recommend doing a test ride if you can before you drop the coins on one. Also, look into a good stand for an e-bike. I bought the Enduro Engineering MTB stand and it's awesome as well.

I appreciate you taking the time to read the details and watch the review. If you would, please hit that subscribe button and you can also hit the bell icon to be notified of new content. Now, get outside and ride!
