SELKIE SWIMMING IN THE WATER || Seal Mermaid Tail Swimming in Lake Michigan (The Magic Crafter) - Here is a video of a real life selkie swimming in the water- well, sort of. I'm real, anyway, and I'm in a selkie costume. So I'm as real as you can get at the moment. Hahaha! Please be aware that this selkie mermaid costume is not an accurate depiction of what selkies from Celtic and Norse mythology looked like. Traditionally, selkies are seen in either a seal form or a human form. Selkies are shapeshifters that can transform from seal to human by shedding their seal skin, or from human to seal by wearing the magical seal skin once more. This is an artistic representation of what a mermaid version of a selkie would look like. This costume was created by ‪@kaitlynbloomfield23‬ and is made with some recycled materials. It is a very unique costume and I love it very, very much!
