The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has imposed a temporary drone ban over 22 areas in New Jersey, citing "special security reasons." The list was updated Wednesday, and goes until Jan. 17. Areas include Hamilton, Bridgewater, Cedar Grove, North Brunswick Township, Metuchen, Evesham, Camden, Gloucester City, Westampton, Edison, Branchburg, Sewaren, Jersey City, Harrison, Elizabeth, Bayonne, Winslow, Burlington, Clifton, Hancocks Bridge and Kearny. These bans are in addition to the ones the FAA placed in effect after the first drone sighting on Nov. 18. No drone flights are allowed in the area of Picatinny Arsenal until Dec. 26 and in Bedminster until Dec. 20. There are exceptions which include National Defense, Homeland Security and law enforcement.
