Elite Beat Agents and Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan 2 Side By Side - Mission Failure and Review

This is one of multiple side-by-side videos that demonstrate how Elite Beat Agents and Moero! Nekketsu Rhythm Damashii - Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan 2 are similar in structure as they share the same developer, engine and gameplay. This particular video will show you both games' failure sequence and review feature. Footage of Elite Beat Agents is on the left video, while footage of Ouendan 2 is on the right video.

If the player's mission health (Elite-O-Meter in Elite Beat Agents or spirit meter in Ouendan 2) reaches zero during a mission, it ends immediately and prematurely in failure. A cutscene will play showing the person in trouble experiencing a catastrophic failure, ending with a garage door labeled "Sorry We Are Closed" slamming down on the top screen for Elite Beat Agents, or a sad haiku and then the message "cheer failed" with a spotlight shining over the person in trouble in Ouendan 2.

The player will then be asked whether they want to regroup and try the mission again from the beginning. There is also a button at the bottom of the touchscreen to "review" the last several seconds leading up to the failure.
