Eastern Sierras: Thousand Island Lake and Ediza Lake

Описание к видео Eastern Sierras: Thousand Island Lake and Ediza Lake

Enjoy the views from our second annual Labor Day Weekend backpacking trip to the Eastern Sierras.

We started in Agnew Meadows near Devils Postpile National Monument. We hiked the High Trail section of the Pacific Crest Trail to Thousand Island Lake, where we fished for hours and camped the night. Talk about UNLIMITED fish. We must have caught forty fish that were at least 12 inches long. Day 2 we hiked to Lake Ediza, passing Emerald Lake, Ruby Lake, and Garnet Lake on the way. We stopped at Garnet Lake for lunch and more fishing - we swam out to the island in the middle and passers by cheered as we caught fish. Lake Ediza was my favorite, right at the base of the Minarets. We camped our 2nd and last night here, and then hiked out on the River Trail.
