A Texas-based company has filed a $1 million lawsuit against popular streamer IShowSpeed, alleging he assaulted and destroyed the viral robot influencer known as Rizzbot during a filmed encounter. The lawsuit was filed in Travis County and names the streamer, whose real name is Darren Jason Watkins Jr., along with Mixed Management and Ames Ward as defendants.

Rizzbot, a three-foot-tall humanoid robot that wears a cowboy hat and uses internet slang to interact with people, gained popularity in Austin earlier in 2025 before expanding appearances to Los Angeles. According to the lawsuit, the incident occurred during a meeting in Austin on Sept. 16, when the streamer allegedly became angry and physically assaulted the robot until it was damaged beyond repair.

The suit claims the damage resulted in a total loss of the robot and forced the cancellation of future opportunities, including a planned co-hosting role with MrBeast and an appearance on The NFL Today Show on CBS. The company behind Rizzbot, Social Robotics, LLC, argues the loss significantly harmed the robot’s viral momentum and potential revenue.

The lawsuit also clarifies that Rizzbot is not artificial intelligence but is remotely operated by a human controller and cost roughly $16,000 before modifications. The case highlights growing tensions around viral content, responsibility, and the real-world consequences of online stunts.
