Invictus took juzcook 9 months to make. The goal was to make a FUN hack, which was fresh/custom, fair yet still challenging, designed with speedrunning in mind so that every level felt great when you moved fast.
As a player, juzcook is tired of kaizo blocks, so he used winged coin blocks that you could see so that people freaked out when they saw it and had to jump in a hurry.
It was also designed with the pros in mind to use only custom mechanics that weren't jank, and to showcase what romhacks are capable of doing with asm.
