In 1992 the Rew-Sharp House was that year's designer showcase house. It was built in 1919 for George Rew, the president of the Calumet Baking Powder company. The San Diego Historical Society and the American Society of Interior Designers sponsored the event. The house is down the street from the Hotel del Coronado on Alameda. Andrea Naversen and photojournalist Joe Wiedemann got a sneak peek.
