This one close to my heart so I hope that you leave from this what I did.

When your children are young, you know they depend on you for their every need. You're their caretaker, you make sure they're fed, you make sure they're warm, they're safe from harm.

And as they grow, it's sometimes hard to switch gears and it's even harder to know when to switch gears.

So the best thing you can do is find a balance because you don't want to allow your child too much independence too early. You want to be able to watch your child develop independence from the sidelines, so that you can step in where needed.

Sometimes it's difficult to sit back and watch them develop their own independence. It may be tough. But when you allow your child to make his or her home on mistakes and learn life's lessons early, they grow into happy and healthy adults.

Here are some tips to nudge your child toward independent life at any age. No matter how old or young they are.
