After two weeks of evidence and prosecution in the murder trial of Carlos Reales Dominguez, his defense attorney began the third week of testimony with witnesses in an attempt to prove the defendant's mental unwellness. Former UC Davis student Dominguez is accused of a days-long stabbing spree in 2023 that left two men dead and a woman seriously injured, gripping the small college town of Davis in fear before police made an arrest. The two slain men are UC Davis student Karim Abou Najm and "Compassion Guy" David Breaux. Kimberlee Guillory survived an attack while she was resting in her tent at the time.
